It's great

Goth is a University trained, professional teacher [Bachelor of EDUCATION Art].
Goth has many years of teaching experience in Australia.

THE SAME TEACHER EVERY LESSON
At GCG your teacher is always the SAME PERSON.
This helps your English, because you can build up a friendship and 'communication' with the teacher!
Because you see the same person [teacher] every lesson, you can talk about topics you had previously chatted about,
or ask about continuing themes.
For example: you had a cold last week, so how are you now?
Or: you are going to Fiji next month - who will you travel with? What will you do while in Fiji? etc..

A STUDENTS WHO CAN REMEMBER AND USE NEW WORDS, IDIOMS, etc...'
The GCG teacher makes an A4 PAGE OF NOTES during EVERY LESSON.
So - the teacher knows what has been studied, what needs to be REVIEWED, etc.
Therefore review of your previous lessons [new words, idioms, topics, etc] will be included in your next [and next next…] lessons.
That is SO IMPORTANT - right!!

POINT OF DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GCG AND THE 'OTHER' SCHOOLS
In many OTHER SCHOOLS: 'today's lesson' is taught by 'Sally from Canada'.
However, the next lesson is taught by 'Simon from Australia'. Then 'Helen from Troy', 'Biggles from Britain' etc........
Maybe this is interesting, but it doesn't really help your English!
Unless all those different teachers make detailed notes during each lesson, the NEXT teacher can't do the necessary REVIEW of words, idioms etc taught previously.
Please think about that!

A TYPICAL LESSON:
PLEASE NOTE: If you are studying in a PRIVATE lesson, your lessons can be structured exactly to suit the syle and content YOU LIKE!!
Goth is a very 'adaptive' teacher - so he can change each lesson to suit you!!
FOR EXAMPLE: Maybe you arrive at the beginning of the lesson, and are excited about something.
So you want to talk about it for about 40 minutes!
Wow!!
This was not in Goth's lesson plan for today!!
NO PROBLEM!!
Goth would adjust his lesson plan to fit in your (unplanned) 'special focus' chat!
Photo: Goth often uses U tube or other internet based services in lessons.
Here Mariko can see on U tube the ORIGINAL 1933 movie FRANKENSTEIN from which 2 very popular quotes are taken
and often used today.
CHALLENGE:
CAN YOU NAME THE 2 QUOTES??
[ANSWER: the 2 quotes are: "Its alive!!" and "I've created a monster!"]

'A TYPICAL PRIVATE 1 HOUR LESSON'
The first 20 minutes or so would usually be casual greetings and a combination of free talking and teacher led REVIEW
of previous 'target words'/idioms etc. This is the same as when any real 'native speakers' meet and begin a conversation, right!
Then there might be the teacher’s choice targets [idioms, phrases, vocabulary] and also the student’s choices of topics, or special requests,
or English for specific situations/uses, etc].
The last 20 minutes may be spent working with the main class text book.
Or possibly using some special textbook [ex: studying English while watching a movie, or singing Karaoke in English, etc.]
HOWEVER - THERE IS NO FIXED PATTERN !
